Terms of Service

Effective 28 October 2026 · Privacy policy

Hopline is a free browser game at hopline.pilim.ai. By playing it you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose; if something is unclear, write to [email protected].

1. Who runs the game

Hopline is operated by Vladimir Smirnov, trading as Rhodaris, a sole proprietorship registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 95530436, based in the Netherlands. In these terms "we" and "us" mean that business.

2. Playing

3. Nicknames and conduct

Nicknames are unique and visible to other players: on leaderboards, in parties and in friend lists. Anyone online can find you by your nickname and send you an invite. When you pick one, and while you play:

We may rename or remove a nickname, erase scores or race results, remove friendships, or block a player token when we believe these rules were broken. We will do this proportionately and, where we can, tell you why if you ask.

4. Our content

The game, its levels, artwork, code and name belong to us or our licensors. You may play the game in your browser and share links to it. Unless a licence on a specific file says otherwise, you may not copy, resell or redistribute the game or its levels, or present them as your own. Nothing here stops you from streaming or recording your play.

5. Availability and changes

Hopline is a small, independent project, provided as it is and as it is available. We may change levels, physics, features or these terms, reset leaderboards, take the game offline for maintenance, or stop running it altogether, at any time. Where a change to these terms matters to you, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the new terms.

6. Liability

We do our best to keep the game working and safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available, bug-free or that your progress will never be lost. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or lost progress arising from the game. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Dutch law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, and nothing takes away the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.

7. Ending

You can stop playing at any time; clearing the site data in your browser removes the game from your device, and the privacy policy explains how to have your server-side data deleted. We may end or suspend your access as described in section 3.

8. Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless the law of the country where you live as a consumer gives you the right to bring them elsewhere. We would much rather sort things out by email first.
